STONE AND ROCK IN NOVA SCOTIA

You can’t start a construction project without stone, as it’s the principal material used in the foundation of your building. Twin Mountain Construction has been helping the community with the supply of stone and rock since 1986. This is a great rock for decorative landscaping and can also be used for drainage purposes. It has a rough surface and has a sparkle when it is dry.

¾ inch washed stone:

This stone is used for drainage purposes and is used as the material beneath floors during construction.

1 inch washed stone:

1 inch washed stone

This stone is used for landscaping and drainage purposes. It can be used as permanent mulch for gardens.

2 to 4 inch rock:

2 to 4 inch rock

This loosely grated rock is ideal for building driveway bases and under concrete pads.

¾ inch crushed stone:

¾ inch crushed stone

It is the material trucked in from Halifax, and has been crushed down to ¾ inch.

Is a product imported from Halifax, primarily used in walkways, driveways and is bluish grey in colour.

Halifax class A:

Halifax class A (Class A ¾ inch minus Halifax)

Class A material trucked in from Halifax, the primary use is driveways as it compacts well and will not wash away. It has a bluish grey colour.

Pit Class A:

Pit Class A

It is a mixture of ½' minus stone and fine sand.
